Professor Clemons has been teaching Information Strategy and Economics at Wharton for more than 25 years. His elective course on Information: Industry Structure and Competitive Strategy remains one of the largest enrollment electives and one of the most popular at Wharton. The course addresses the paradigmatic problems in information-based strategy: What to offer, how to price it, how to distribute it, what resources to deploy, how to make the necessary investment decisions, and when to outsource. Perhaps unique at Wharton, the course draws heavily on research done at the Wharton School and makes no use of cases written elsewhere.
